A comfortable fit that flatters your shape

We designed these jeans to enhance your style by creating a beautiful, structured silhouette.

That’s why we gave them a generous straight cut (22.5cm leg opening for a size 32), even more comfortable than our Renji jeans. This volume is perfect for those who appreciate roomier fits or have more muscular legs.

Combined with a natural waistline, the BG10 truly comes into its own thanks to its 13.5oz selvedge denim, which lets your legs keep their space. This comfort is further enhanced by an initial wash at the workshop, which softens the fabric.

The power of black denim

Bonnegueule embraces black jeans — and that’s great news for your style.

Here are three ways to wear them:

  • In contrast with beige, green, or blue. Even better: black beautifully highlights brighter tones such as purple, red, pink, or yellow — the perfect excuse to bring out your colorful shirts, sweaters, and accessories.
  • In monochrome with black, charcoal, or navy. Subtle yet striking.
  • In gradient tones, mixing shades of white (ecru, cream) and grey (from light to dark) for a minimalist, refined look.

The finest of Italian denim

This jean is black… but not entirely.

It’s woven with a black warp and an ecru, almost cream-colored weft, which give the fabric texture and depth — far more than a uniform black ever could. Up close, the lighter threads subtly reveal themselves, scattered irregularly across the slightly fuzzy surface of the fabric.

Woven in Italy on restored vintage shuttle looms, this denim showcases all of Candiani’s expertise in crafting richly textured selvedge fabrics that rival even the finest Japanese denims.

With a weight of 13.5oz, the fabric gives the jeans just the right amount of structure and substance without being too rigid. This comfort is further enhanced by an initial wash at the workshop that softens it slightly.

And like any raw denim, these black jeans will only get better with time and wear, developing a subtle grey patina — a reflection of all the good moments shared along the way.

But Candiani doesn’t stop at creating beautiful fabrics…

An environmentally responsible denim

The Italian family mill has been working for many years on solutions to produce more sustainable materials. This denim is Regenagri certified, guaranteeing that the cotton comes from regenerative agriculture — a new way of farming designed to restore soil health and have a positive impact on fertile land.
