The texture of Italian grained leather
After black, burgundy, and tobacco versions, it was time to offer our Wembley loafers in a beautiful chocolate brown shade, as elegant as it is easy to wear.
And to bring some variety compared to smooth or suede leather, this time we turned to grained leather. Created by pressing smooth leather with a patterned plate, it develops an irregular, almost rustic, raised texture that helps it crease less and absorb less water in the rain.
This supple, textured leather was sourced from Mastrotto, a family-owned Italian tannery with over half a century of experience. Certified Leather Working Group Gold—the highest grade of the LWG certification—Mastrotto is committed to responsible environmental practices in the leather industry (water and waste management, reduction of chemical use, etc.).
