A well-balanced regular fit

This shirt is casual—and so is its fit.

The Calvi features a slightly regular cut for comfort, allowing you to layer with ease.

It’s not an oversized fit, however: the shoulders are well defined, and the chest, while comfortable, has no excess fabric to spoil the look.

How to wear this shirt

On its own, this shirt can be worn under a knit, a jacket, or a blazer.

You can also style it as an overshirt, layered over a lightweight sweater or a T-shirt.

A Japanese fabric with singular charm

This shirt is intriguing.

More than just a striped shirt, it reveals its richness the closer you look.

On a soft, organic ecru base, a subtle micro-herringbone emerges: fine diagonals alternating in a zigzag, giving the fabric depth and visual presence.

The stripes themselves are irregular: widening and narrowing in places, like a chalk line slightly smudged—alive and imperfect.

With its firm 209 g/m² handfeel, this fabric blends 55% linen and 45% cotton, offering a natural texture with slight irregularities.

More than any other, this is the kind of fabric that makes our hearts beat. And it’s in Japan that we find them—here, from Shuttle Notes, a discreet mill that has been creating unique fabrics for over 70 years in Nishiwaki, on traditional shuttle looms.
