A chambray with intriguing stripes
To break away from classic blue short-sleeve shirts, we gave this one a dual-textured twist.
The first thing you'll notice: these decorative stripes with geometric patterns, alternating with a bright light brown, like sunbeams woven into the fabric.
Created using jacquard weaving, they bring structure to the shirt and character to your outfits. The subtle green zigzag borders at the ends of each stripe make them look like embroidered ribbons laid across the cloth.
Beyond the stripes, the shirt rests on a blue chambray base with subtle irregularities, thanks to the addition of a slub yarn in the weft, creating tiny horizontal streaks that reveal themselves through the weave.
The fabric’s visual richness and tonal depth might remind you of a Japanese textile—but in fact, it’s a creation by our trusted Portuguese mill, Somelos, which has been developing creative, textured shirting fabrics for nearly 70 years.
