Once a tartan, always a tartan

For those looking to go beyond plain scarves, a tartan scarf is a smart choice.

A traditional Scottish pattern, tartan is composed of colourful checks formed by intersecting lines of varying thicknesses. It dates back to the 16th century, when each Scottish clan had its own distinctive tartan in unique colour combinations.

This particular scarf features a red and off-white base, crossed with anthracite-grey lines for a striking result — bold yet perfectly balanced.

The check is unique, developed in-house and woven exclusively for us by a renowned Italian mill with over 50 years of experience, using an extra-fine wool yarn whose softness recalls that of cashmere. Quite something!

How to wear this scarf

With its vibrant colours, this checked scarf perfectly complements understated outfits in shades of navy, grey, or brown.

For a more refined touch, introduce tones of white (ecru, oat, or stone) or red (burgundy, aubergine), which will subtly echo the hues of the scarf.
